I think I would have made a good beatnik. I mean...I'm a writer, I love 50's jazz, lord knows I own enough black turtlenecks, and I'm pretty sure that somewhere inside the mitten and scarf-filled bench inside my front door is a black beret. So... all I need is a set of bongo drums - that and the hep cat, super cool attitude. But I think I could pull it off. How's this?
"Hey there all you cool cats and daddy-o's! Here's a little kick from coolsville that's made in the shade and will flip your lid! Dig it!"
(Translation: Hello all you cool and 'with it' people! Here's a fun clip from the past that is guaranteed to make you laugh. I hope you understand and approve!)
That is sooo awesome! ;) I LOVE the audience's different reactions.
P. S. I also wanted to tell you that your father sounds like he was a wonderful man. That is so neat to read when a daughter remembers their father as fondly as you remember yours.
Hi Kara! I met you over at my blog. Now i want a black turtle neck :D

Samantha & Elisabeth: I'm glad you liked the clip. I've watched it several times, but I'm still not sure if she was being serious or sarcastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit :)
Tomorrow is dragsville, cats, tomorrow is drags.
ReplyDeleteYou got it, you definitely got it. Put on that turtleneck and I'll meet you at the coffee shop for a little rap, cat.
