Lambasted by Thong-Wearers

Well...I've gone and done it now!  It seems I've insulted a whole group of people.  Yes, indeedy...the brave Thong Wearers of the World have their g-strings all in knots over a piece I wrote last summer, The Chubby Hypocrite in the Bikini.  With dingle berries bouncing and butt cheeks quivering, these Thongers are all in a bluster of indignation over my post.

Seriously!  (I have to add the "seriously" because after reading their nasty messages left on my blog, it has become apparent to me that not everyone can tell when I'm joking or not).  These thong-wearers gave me a real proper scolding; I've been lambasted, berated, chewed up and spit out.  Apparently, I'm the talk of their message boards, and two have gone as far as leaving anonymous comments on my blog - one claiming I have something rammed deeply up my netherlands, and the other calling me a hypocrite.

As for the first accusation, although I've never before noticed anything up there that doesn't belong, I will bow to their superior wisdom of all things butt-crack related.  And as for calling me a hypocrite, well... it might have wounded me if I hadn’t already admitted as much IN THE TITLE!  In fact, that was the whole jest – to poke fun at my hypocritical reaction to seeing an old guy in a thong!

The whole thing leaves me confused.  I mean…I don’t expect everyone to get my sense of humour, but I would have thought thong-wearers might have had thicker skin…  "Touche!"

  1. Thong wearers message board? well, I have seen AND heard of everything now.
surprised that they don't seem to be able to handle some light rubbing. *side eye*

but seriously, leaving comments about something "rammed up your netherlands"; highly inappropriate. It's quite the violent response to something that was not even remotely offensive. especially since the given title of the piece.
Yep, colour me surprised... would have assumed they were used to being poked.....fun of I mean ;)

  2. Anonymous comments don't deserve to be taken seriously. More power to your elbow...

  3. Oh, honey -- fuck 'em if they can't take a joke. There are a billion blogs to read if they don't like yours. It's like those asshat "family values" types getting their knickers all in a twist of something on TV. Turn the damn channel if you don't like it!

Don't ever let anyone make you feel badly about something you've written on your own damn blog.

  4. Don't get the "Thong Wearers Anti-Defamation League" on your case. Like the clothing they promote, they can be a pain in the ass.

  9. Oh, dear Lord.

I agree with everyone above and, as for thongs, well, the less said about that the better.

What is it with humorless people? Ugh.

  13. There's a thong wearers message board? Really? Holy Crap. LOL Maybe their thongs are so far up their butts that it has affected their sense of humor? :)

  15. I went back and read the original post and I can't tell if I want to laugh or claw my eyes out lol! I also read through the comments. People truly are amazing and take things way too seriously sometimes! I for one found it hilarious :) It can't be comfy for the nasty people posting the comments to type with something up their ass! Maybe that's why they're so angry?

I am a new follower from Blog Hops Everyday. I would love for you to visit and follow me back at http://cooperave.blogspot.com/

  16. Anonymous comments? Ignore them - they are spineless cretins. I think it is highly amusing that some people seem to have had a complete humour bypass. They are blind to things that are blatantly supposed to be funny! Keep going girl, I love your blog ;-)

    1. spineless? not... I don't care whether people wear or don't wear thongs... but she needs to be corrected (or made aware of) what 'dingle berries' are and that there is a difference between a THONG and a G-STRING. She seems to think they are the same... and she seems to think that dingle berries are testicles. They are not. I hate the term and don't want to think about what they are and don't want to hear or read the disgusting term. I'm not spineless, I just don't want to take time to sign up to a blog that I'll never return to after today... too many online accounts; I don't need to create another.

Obviously, you don't have a clue to what 'Dingle Berries' are... they are NOT testicles as your use seems to suggest.
