You know I'm Canadian, eh? But as far as neighbours go, I live a lot closer to the American border than any Canadian province. In fact, it's just an easy hour's drive to the Bluewater Bridge, up and over the St. Clair River, and (Homeland Security permitting) I'm in the State of Michigan. So, while this video is about winter in Michigan and NOT Canada - I can still relate!
LOL.... I am always amazed at how even Canadians who should be experts by now, suddenly forget how to drive on the first big snowfall. It's like they conveniently erased all memory of snow during the summer months. Still I am hoping for a White Christmas in our little town.
Oh, that's too funny. But I'll put the idiocy of Georgians during a "blizzard" (which, here, means at least twelve flakes) up against anything Michigan has to offer!
I HATE driving in the snow, because the last time I got stuck in a freak snowstorm [8 inches! No warning!], I had been driving for almost an hour on CITY ROADS before I saw a snowplow. What the hell?
This time last year we were buried under a meter and a half of snow! And that "easy hour's drive" to Michigan I mentioned? The highway was shut down and motorists stranded along it for 24 hours before being rescued by snowmobiles. But this year we still have green grass. Go figure!
Beauty eh! Wish we had some snow in Montreal. Maybe not a huge storm, but a bit of white wouldn't hurt!
ReplyDeleteHo! Ho! Ho! er, I mean Ha! Ha! Ha! :)

ReplyDelete"Beauty eh!" Now that's a phrase I haven't heard in ages! Thanks for the chuckle!
ReplyDeleteYes, you can laugh - being that the temperature in Manila is probably about 30 degrees today while I'm here shivering in the nasty cold!
ReplyDelete...It's nice to see you back here, Sam. You've been on my mind lately as I just lent your novel to my husband and he has disappeared into it!
I know! It's always the same, every year!
ReplyDeleteBut all jokes aside, I actually LOVE the snow. Bring it on, Old Man Winter!

ReplyDeleteThat's like Iowa too!
ReplyDeleteWell, except the plows. In my town, they NEVER come.
Love that.
