By Way of Apology - Sort Of

Alright....I'll admit I may have been poking fun at bloggers who 'bare their souls' in my recent post Scattered Joy Exposed, but the truth is I greatly admire their courage and honesty.   Some of my favourite blogs are of the "personal journal made public" variety.  I honestly enjoy reading about the writers' private struggles and triumphs.  It makes me feel connected to them on a personal level, which is very appealing.

It's also fueled a re-evaluation my own blog, because I want my readers to feel that intimate connection with me.    So... I've given some serious consideration as to how I can achieve this level of familiarity and what changes I can make so my own blog is more personable.  After A LOT of thought and deliberation, I have finally come up with this solution:

You didn't really think I'd change anything, did you?  I mean, we all need a bit of irreverent and wacky fun, right?  So...brushing aside all of that personal touchy-feely mumbo jumbo crap, let's enjoy some typical Scattered Joy with a cartoon about my current fascination - opposible thumbs.  Enjoy!

  1. Eh up! There is nothing wrong at all with poking fun at anyone.... especially those who totallly put everything out in their blog. Shit sometimes even i recoil at the subject matter!

Your blog is the dog's danglies so don't change a thing xx

  2. So my blog's the dog's danglies, is it? Well...that may be with best compliment I've ever got. Seriously! (I had to add the 'seriously' because not everyone can tell the difference between me being satirical and me being honest. I love that you can. XX back at ya!)

  3. I don't mind baring my soul in my blog (which is why you know I've spread pee cream on my heels). After all, the chances of any of us actually meeting one another is pretty slim (unlike Michael Moore). That's a shame, because I'd like to meet all (ok, most) of you. I'd say your blog is the bee's knees, but I like dog's danglies much better. Wait! I don't mean I LITERALLY like a dog's danglies. You know what I mean.

  5. HAHAHAHA! I think that your personality comes through no matter what you choose to write.
Sometimes I get way too personal on my blog, but it is always with much consideration and thought. I use the delete button at will.
We are all different-- as it should be!
    I love your blog!
